Ein gemütlicher Rundweg über die Höhen um Obersfeld: an Bildstöcken und Sitzbänken vorbei zum Waldrand mit dem schönsten Blick auf Gauaschach, weiter zur versteckten Aschbachquelle und über den Kreuzweg zurück ins Dorf.An easy-going circuit over the hills around Obersfeld: past wayside shrines and benches to the forest edge with its finest view of Gauaschach, on to the hidden Aschbach spring and back into the village along the Stations of the Cross.
Sehr anmutig schlängelt sich das kleine Gewässer, verschont von Regulierungs-Maßnahmen, durch die Wiesen in seinem Tal.The little stream winds most gracefully through the meadows of its valley, spared from any straightening.
Von Hundsbach kommend biegen Sie in der Ortsmitte, bei der Bushaltestelle vor der Kirche, scharf links in die Wintertalstraße ab. Nach dem Aschbach stellen Sie Ihr Fahrzeug beim Gasthaus „Bayerischer Hof“ am Straßenrand ab.Coming from Hundsbach, turn sharply left in the village centre – at the bus stop in front of the church – into Wintertalstraße. Beyond the Aschbach, park at the roadside by the „Bayerischer Hof“ inn.
Die Wintertalstraße führt geradeaus aus dem Dorf. Nach der Starkstromleitung geht es bei einem Bildstock rechts auf einen asphaltierten Weg, bei einer Sitzbank rechts bergauf und bei einer zweiten Bank neben einem Bildstock links auf einen Grasweg.Wintertalstraße leads straight out of the village. Past the power line, turn right at a wayside shrine onto a surfaced track, climb to the right at a bench, and at a second bench beside a shrine turn left onto a grassy path.
Der Grasweg begleitet einen Heckenstreifen bis zum Wald. Vor einer eindrucksvollen Eiche führt der Weg rechts am Rand eines schönen Eichen-Buchenwaldes entlang – mit Blicken voraus auf Gauaschach und zurück in den Bachgrund.The grassy path follows a line of hedges to the wood. In front of an impressive oak the route turns right along the edge of a fine oak-and-beech wood – with views ahead to Gauaschach and back into the valley.
Etwa 50 Meter vor einer grünen Jagdkanzel biegt der Weg 13 links in den Wald ein. Hier haben Sie den schönsten Blick über die Flur auf Gauaschach; links vom Weg steht im Wald ein Bildstock von 1554.About 50 metres before a green hunting hide, trail 13 turns left into the wood. This is where you get the finest view across the fields to Gauaschach; a wayside shrine dated 1554 stands to the left of the path.
Nach wenigen Minuten erreichen Sie einen Forstweg und folgen ihm rechts leicht bergab. Am Waldrand lädt eine Sitzgruppe bei schöner Aussicht zu einer Rast ein.After a few minutes you reach a forest road and follow it gently downhill to the right. At the edge of the wood a group of benches with a fine view invites you to take a break.
Weiter am Waldrand, an der Waldspitze geradeaus durch die Felder, bis Sie an einer geschnittenen Hecke auf den Verbindungsweg Obersfeld – Gauaschach treffen. A few metres to the left, then right onto trail 12, which takes you down into the valley.
Auf dem Weg 11 geht es weiter; an der Waldspitze führt ein Grasweg links an einem Graben entlang. Nach etwa einer Viertelstunde bricht der erste Grasweg die Hecke nach links – dort liegt die Quelle. Voraus sehen Sie das Windrad von Sachserhof.Carry on along trail 11; at the tip of the wood a grassy path leads left beside a ditch. After about a quarter of an hour the first grassy path breaks through the hedge to the left – that is where the spring lies. Ahead of you stands the Sachserhof wind turbine.
Zurück zur Waldspitze: Der Weg steigt zunächst am Waldrand an, biegt dann rechts in den Wald und führt in weitem Bogen durch den Wald und ein kurzes Stück über die Felder. Nach der Straße Obersfeld – Sachserhof geht es auf dem Weg 13 weiter, bei Holzlagerplatz und Schonung kurz rechts und gleich wieder links abwärts in die Felder.Back to the tip of the wood: the path first climbs along the forest edge, then turns right into the wood and swings in a wide arc through the trees and briefly across the fields. After crossing the Obersfeld – Sachserhof road, continue on trail 13; at a timber yard and a plantation go briefly right and immediately left again, downhill into the fields.
Nach einem kurzen Aufstieg erreichen Sie den Weg 1, den Arnsteiner Weg, und folgen ihm nach rechts: an den Kreuzweg-Stationen entlang, am Friedhof mit seiner Infotafel vorbei zur Obersfelder Straße. Folgen Sie der Wintertalstraße geradeaus (Weg 13) und verlassen Sie das Dorf in die Felder. Vor einer eindrucksvollen Eiche führt der Weg nun rechts am Rand eines schönen Eichen-Buchenwaldes entlang, um einige Ecken und mit schönen Blicken voraus auf das Dorf Gauaschach und zurück auf den Bachgrund.Follow Wintertalstraße straight ahead (trail 13) and leave the village for the fields. Once you have passed under the power line, turn right at a wayside shrine onto a surfaced track. Follow it to a bench and climb to the right here. At another bench beside a shrine, trail 13 takes you left onto a grassy path. (You can also shorten the walk here by carrying straight on until you meet trail 13 again in the valley and then continuing to the right.) Walk along a line of hedges to the edge of the wood. In front of an impressive oak the path now runs to the right along the edge of a fine oak-and-beech wood, round a few corners, with lovely views ahead to the village of Gauaschach and back over the valley.

An der Waldspitze führt Sie ein Grasweg links weiter an einem Graben entlang zur Aschbachquelle. Sie finden sie, wenn Sie dem von Hecken überwachsenen Graben etwa eine Viertelstunde folgen. Am ersten Grasweg, der die Hecke nach links durchbricht, ist die Quelle. Sie führt aber nur Wasser nach einem starken Regen oder zur Schneeschmelze. Vor sich sehen Sie das Windrad von Sachserhof. In weitem Bogen führt er durch den Wald, ein kurzes Stück über die Felder, am Waldrand nach rechts.At the tip of the wood a grassy path leads on to the left beside a ditch to the Aschbach spring. You will find it by following the hedge-covered ditch for about a quarter of an hour. The spring lies at the first grassy path that breaks through the hedge to the left. It only carries water after heavy rain or when the snow melts. Ahead of you stands the Sachserhof wind turbine. You then have to walk back to the tip of the wood. From there the path first continues uphill along the forest edge and then turns right into the wood. It runs in a wide arc through the trees, briefly across the fields, and to the right along the forest edge.
Überqueren Sie die Straße Obersfeld – Sachserhof und gehen Sie auf dem Weg 13 weiter durch den Wald.
